May Deal of the Month - Chef Tasting Special

On Tuesday evenings, Chef Marco Shaw cooks for your table - either an irresistible $45 four-course or $55 six-course menu (per person). The Chef Tasting is one of the most fun, creative and impulsive events that is available at Fife Restaurant - sure to be a crowd pleaser each and every time!
Chef Shaw's talent and experience plays into dishes that are memorable and imaginative, constructing beautiful meals that speak of the Pacific Northwest and the American cuisine that he is so well-known for. The Chef Tasting is available in 2 versions only - one that may contain meat and/or fish and vegetarian. Additionally, a wine pairings package may be purchased for $25 and our skilled stewards will pair each dish with a fabulous selection from our extensive list. Our servers will ask you a few questions to assist the chef in preparing dishes especially for your table and will take into account any food allergies and aversions to certain foods. We regret that there are no other selections or substitutions. This is an excellent way to get a feel for our style of cooking and the amazing talents of our chef.

Wine maker dinners are in progress - reserve your seat now!
Winemaker dinner events are usually held the third Sunday of each month from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. In 2008, Fife Restaurant will have a series of guest winemakers appearing February through September. Each month, Chef Shaw creates a 4 - 5 course dinner that is paired with the wines that the winemaker brings to the restaurant. You will get a chance to personally meet the people who create the beautiful wines that you enjoy, learn about the process of winemaking at the vineyard and winery and taste dishes personally created by Chef Shaw for that event.

May 11th - Mother's Day
Bring your mom to Fife Restaurant for a meal you and your family won't soon forget this mother's day weekend, Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th. Although Fife Restaurant is closed on Sundays, your mother will adore celebrating a night out over the weekend with a meal created by Chef Shaw and the culinary team at Fife. Set the mood with a bottle of wine from our wine list hand-picked by our steward, Arin Hassell, or nibble on delightful confections and sweets from the dessert menu by our pastry chef, Jessica Howard. Steamboat Inn Dinner
Steamboat Inn is located just east of Roseburg and is nestled in amongst Umpqua National Forest and has views of the North Umpqua River. Each year the Inn features a series of winemaker dinners and this year Chef Shaw will be participating in May 2008. The following is a list of several wine makers that will be at this event:

IPNC - Thursday with Todd Hamina

Beginning in 1987, the International Pinot Noir Celebration has been a place for wine-lovers to spend a weekend enjoying great wine and good food. This year, Chef Shaw will be featured as the guest chef for a very special night during the festival and start off your IPNC experience with winemaker Todd Hamina on Thursday, July 24th. Area winemakers kick off the start of IPNC the night before by hosting a winemaker dinner on-site at their winery and Chef Shaw will be featuring a menu created specifically for Todd Hamina's wine pairings. Fremont Fest in August
Fife Restaurant's annual Seafood Extravaganza is a show-stopping, mouth-watering, once a year lunch for Fremont Fest on Saturday, August 2nd. We throw open our doors from noon to 3:00 PM and serve delectable, delicious, and devine delicacies from the sea such as :
